Hello STARS! My name is Ashley Ailerson and I am so excited to be working with our fourth grade students here at Hazelwood Elementary School! The 2023-2024 school year will be my 8th year as an educator. I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and now 4th grade. I believe in hard work and dedication but most of all...having FUN while we learn! I am originally from North Carolina where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from UNCG & my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Appalachian State University. My husband & I moved here in 2020 & I am proud to call Tennessee my home. We have two golden retrievers named Tink & Boone and are expecting our first little girl in November! In my free time I enjoy hiking, fishing, running, & reading. I cannot wait to work with all of you! Shine on!
