Hi! My name is Ashley Ailerson and I am so excited to be working with our fourth grade STARS here at Hazelwood Elementary School! This will be my 7th year teaching. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grades. I believe in hard work and dedication but most of all...having FUN while we learn! I am originally from North Carolina where I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education from UNCG and my masters degree in curriculum & instruction from Appalachian State University. I also have a graduate certificate for trauma informed teaching from East Carolina University. My husband and I moved here in 2020 and I am proud to call Tennessee my new home. We have two golden retrievers named Tink and Boone. They are our world! In my free time I enjoy hiking with my dogs, fishing, kayaking, running, and reading. It is going to be a fantastic year and I can't wait to work with all of you, and your kiddos, this school year! Shine on!
